How it works
Google asks businesses to use the same name, address and phone everywhere they appear, including their own website (Google’s guidelines). This checker reads both and shows each detail that differs.
- Find your business in the search box above.
- We read your name, address, phone and website from your Google listing.
- Check the website address, or enter another page, then run the check.
- Read each detail: matches, does not match, or not found, with how to fix it.
What you give and what you get
You give one thing: your Google listing. The website comes from the listing, and you can change it.
You get the four details side by side, a status for each, and one fix for every detail that does not match.
Method and limits
We read the page once. If it has schema.org LocalBusiness data, we compare with that first, because it is what your site declares on purpose. Otherwise we read the visible text.
- Name: the same once letters are lowercased and punctuation is dropped, or one name contains the other, such as your name plus your area.
- Address: every number on Google (building number, postal code) appears on the site, and at least 60% of the street words.
- Phone: compared by digits, so spaces, dashes, a leading 0 and a country code do not matter; at least the last 7 digits must agree.
- Website: the same domain, ignoring “www”. A site that redirects to another domain does not match.
Privacy
Nothing is saved. Your listing details are read from Google in your browser, and your website is read once for this check and discarded.
You do not need an account.
Questions
- What is NAP consistency?
- NAP stands for name, address and phone. Keeping them the same on Google and on your website helps customers trust what they find and reach the right place.
- Why does my address show as not found?
- We look for the building number, the postal code and most street words on the page we read. If your homepage has no address, check your contact page instead.
- My phone number is written differently. Is that a problem?
- No. We compare the digits, so “080 4123 4567” and “+91 80 4123 4567” count as the same number.
- Does this check other directories?
- No. It compares your Google listing with your own website only.
- Is it free?
- Yes, and you do not need an account.
