How it works
- Search for your business by the name it has on Google Maps.
- Copy the review link, or test it first. It opens Google's write-a-review form for that business.
- Copy the link, download the QR code or send the WhatsApp message, all from the same screen.
Ask every customer the same way and never offer anything in return. Google's review policy forbids rewards for reviews and asking only happy customers.
Method and limits
The link is Google's own write-a-review address with your place ID added: search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=… The place ID comes from Google Maps when you pick the business, so the link opens the review form for that one listing and nothing else.
How to get your g.page short link
Google gives every verified profile a shorter review link. Only the owner can see it, so the tool cannot fetch it for you:
- Sign in to the Google account that manages your profile and search for your business name on Google.
- In your profile's panel, choose Ask for reviews (in some views it sits under Read reviews or a Customers tab).
- Copy the link (it starts with g.page/r/) and paste it in the Google short link field above.
Worked example
An illustrative business, not a real customer: Sunrise Dental Care in Baner, Pune, which Google lists as a dentist.
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJ…
Hello, thank you for visiting Sunrise Dental Care today. If you have a minute, would you share an honest Google review of your visit? It helps other people choose. https://g.page/r/…/review
The clinic sends this on WhatsApp after each appointment and prints the same link as a QR code for the reception desk, so every patient is asked the same way.
Questions
- Is the review link free?
- Yes. The tool is free and needs no sign-up. The link points straight at Google, so it keeps working whether or not you ever use Reach.
- Where does the link come from?
- It is built from the place ID Google Maps returns for the business you pick. It opens Google's own review form for that place.
- Why does the link ask me to sign in?
- Google only accepts reviews from signed-in Google accounts, so a visitor who is signed out is asked to sign in first.
- Can I use one link for every customer?
- Yes. The link is the same for everyone. Send it to every customer rather than only the ones you expect to be happy.
- What is the difference between the review link and the g.page short link?
- Both open the same review form. The long link is built from your place ID and works for any business. The g.page short link comes from your own Business Profile (Ask for reviews), reads better in a message and makes a simpler QR code. Paste it into the tool and it is used everywhere.
- Why does the message say "appointment" for my clinic?
- The tool reads the business type Google lists for your place, such as hospital, dentist or cafe, and picks words that fit: an appointment for a clinic, a visit for a cafe, a stay for a hotel. If the type is wrong, change it above the message.
