How it works
Pick your business once and all five messages fill in its name and review link. Copy one, or open WhatsApp with the message typed in and choose the chat.
- Find your business, or skip it and copy the messages with placeholders.
- Check the type of business and pick the language your customers read.
- Add the customer's first name for the personal message, and their number if they are not in your contacts.
- Copy a message or open it in WhatsApp, read it once and press send yourself.
Method and limits
Every message follows what gets reviews without breaking Google's rules:
- Short enough to read in the notification, with the link at the end so WhatsApp turns it into a tap.
- Worded for your kind of business: an appointment for a clinic or salon, a visit for a cafe, a stay for a hotel, never a "project" for a hospital.
- Asks for an honest review, never a 5-star one, so every customer can be asked the same way.
- Sent soon after the visit and followed up once at most. A second reminder costs more goodwill than the review is worth.
Privacy
Nothing you type here is sent to Reach or stored. The business search goes to Google Maps, the messages are filled in by your browser, and Open in WhatsApp hands the text to WhatsApp, which sends nothing until you press send.
Worked example
An illustrative salon, not a real customer: Glow Studio in Baner, Pune. Before, the owner sent this after each appointment:
Hi! Please give us 5 stars on Google and get 10% off your next visit! https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=…
It asks for 5 stars and offers a discount, which breaks Google's review policy twice, and reviews collected this way can be removed. The tool's personal message for a salon asks the same thing honestly:
Hi Neha, it was lovely having you at Glow Studio. Would you leave an honest Google review? It helps others find us: https://g.page/r/…/review
The new message asks for honesty instead of stars, names the customer and costs nothing, so it can go to every client after every appointment.
Questions
- How do I ask for a Google review on WhatsApp?
- Send a short message soon after the visit that thanks the customer, asks for an honest review and ends with your review link. Pick your business above and copy one of the five messages, or open it straight in WhatsApp.
- Is it allowed to ask customers for Google reviews?
- Yes. Google encourages businesses to ask for reviews. What it forbids is offering anything in return and asking only the customers you expect to be happy.
- When is the best time to send a review request?
- Within a few hours of the visit, while it is fresh. If you missed that, the next morning works. Send one reminder at most, a few days later, and only to customers who have not reviewed.
- Can I send review requests in Hindi or other languages?
- Yes. Pick the language above and the messages switch to it. Write to customers in the language they write to you in, because a message in their own language gets read.
- Does Open in WhatsApp send the message?
- No. It opens WhatsApp with the message typed in. You choose the chat (or add the customer's number above), read it and press send yourself.
- Should I send review requests from WhatsApp Business?
- If you already use WhatsApp Business, yes: customers see your business name and the chat stays with your other customer messages. The messages here work the same in both apps.
