How it works
Pick your business to see the checklist the free GMB audit runs on it. The audit itself reads your listing from Google and puts the fixes first.
- Find your business on Google Maps.
- Read the twelve items the audit checks, grouped by listing, profile, reviews, website and Maps.
- Run the free audit to see which ones your listing already has and which to fix first.
Method and limits
Every item is something the free GMB audit reads from Google for a real listing: the profile fields, the reviews, your website’s contact details and a Maps search around you. This page draws the list empty, because nothing is read until the audit runs. The audit’s score is Reach’s own, not a Google score and not a ranking.
Privacy
Choosing your business here uses Google Maps search only. Nothing is read from your listing or stored until you start the audit.
Questions
- What makes a Google Business Profile complete?
- Google’s local ranking help asks businesses to enter complete data: address, phone, category, hours and attributes, kept up to date. Photos, a description and replies to reviews fill in the rest of what customers see.
- Does a complete profile rank higher?
- Google says complete and accurate information helps it match your business to searches. Ranking also depends on distance and prominence, so a complete profile helps but promises no position.
- Why can’t I add keywords to my business name?
- Google’s guidelines for representing your business say the name must match the real-world name on your sign, stationery and website. Extra keywords or locations can get a profile suspended.
- Is the audit really free?
- Yes. It runs without an account and shows your score and the top problems; the full report asks for an email.
