Loading holiday dates…

How it works

  1. Find your business. The market follows its address, and you can change it.
  2. Pick a month, read the festival and public-holiday dates with a post idea for each, and tick the ones you will post for.
  3. Sign up free and plan the posts on Reach’s post calendar, ready to schedule.

What you learn

  • Which dates in the month your customers change their plans around.
  • What to post for each one: hours, a greeting, or what is on.
  • Where the month is quiet, so a regular update or offer keeps your profile current.

What it can't tell you

  • Dates come from Google Calendar’s public holiday calendar for each market; Google publishes some markets only a year or two ahead.
  • Local festivals that are not on Google’s calendar don’t show; add them yourself in Reach.
  • The ideas are starting points, not finished posts. Reach drafts the posts after you sign up.

Questions

Google doesn’t set a number. Its posts help describes updates, offers and events as ways to share news with customers, so post when there is something to say, and plan around the dates your customers care about.

Yes, as an offer post with its own dates and terms, unless you are a hotel: Google’s posts content policy says hotels can’t create offer posts or posts that mention deals.

Set special hours for the day on your profile so Google shows the right hours. The free holiday hours planner lists the dates and makes the special-hours list for you.

From Google Calendar’s public holiday calendar for each market, the one people add in Google Calendar. The page names the source and says when Google has not published dates for a month yet.
