Add Reach to Cursor

Before you start

You need a Reach account; the Free plan works. Connect your Google Business Profile in Reach so Cursor sees your real data. Without it, Cursor can read your public listing only.

Set it up

1. Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or to .cursor/mcp.json in one project. If the file already has mcpServers, put the reach entry inside it.

2. Restart Cursor, open Customize, then MCPs, and follow the sign-in prompt next to reach.
3. Sign in with your Reach account in the browser window that opens and allow access.

In the Cursor CLI

The CLI reads the same mcp.json. Sign in from your own terminal with:

What the Reach sign-in screen shows

After you sign in, Reach asks one question and shows the email you are signed in as and your business:

Then it lists what Cursor gets:

• Read your Reach data
• Prepare work in Reach
• Change your Google profile, only after you confirm each change in the chat

It also shows how many Credits your plan has left this month. Choose Allow to connect or Cancel to stop.

Cursor runs on your computer, so the screen may label it an unverified app. Continue only if you started the connection yourself.

You can turn this off at any time in Reach under Settings, AI Connectors.

Ask about your business in plain words. Cursor picks the Reach tools itself.

If it does not work

• reach shows no tools: it is not signed in yet. Open Customize, then MCPs, and sign in again.
• Cursor ignores the entry: check that the file is valid JSON and reach sits inside mcpServers, then restart Cursor.
• Sign-in fails from the CLI: run the login command in an interactive terminal, not an agent's background shell.
