Add Reach to Claude Code

Before you start

You need a Reach account; the Free plan works. Connect your Google Business Profile in Reach so Claude Code sees your real data. Without it, Claude Code can read your public listing only.

Set it up

1. Run this command in your terminal:

   claude mcp add --transport http reach https://reach.locus-intelligence.com/api/mcp

2. Start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose reach and sign in with your Reach account in the browser window that opens.
3. Check it worked. reach shows as connected once sign-in is done:

   claude mcp list

Use Reach in every project

The command above adds Reach to the current project only. Add --scope user to use it everywhere:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user reach https://reach.locus-intelligence.com/api/mcp

When an agent runs the command

Sign-in opens a browser, so it needs an interactive terminal. If Claude Code runs the add command itself in a background shell, type /mcp yourself afterwards to sign in.

What the Reach sign-in screen shows

After you sign in, Reach asks one question and shows the email you are signed in as and your business:

Allow Claude Code to use your Reach account?

Then it lists what Claude Code gets:

• Read your Reach data
• Prepare work in Reach
• Change your Google profile, only after you confirm each change in the chat

It also shows how many Credits your plan has left this month. Choose Allow to connect or Cancel to stop.

Claude Code runs on your computer, so the screen may label it an unverified app. Continue only if you started the connection yourself.

You can turn this off at any time in Reach under Settings, AI Connectors.

Ask about your business in plain words. Claude Code picks the Reach tools itself.

If it does not work

• claude mcp list says Needs authentication: type /mcp in Claude Code, choose reach and sign in.
• Reach is missing in another project: it was added for one project. Add it again with --scope user.
• No browser opens: run /mcp in your own Claude Code session, not from a script or a non-interactive shell.
