To use Claude with your Google Business Profile, add Reach by Locus as a custom connector (Customize, then Connectors), sign in with your Reach account and ask in plain words. It works on every Claude plan, including Free. Reach shows you the exact change before anything goes to Google.
How do you add Reach to Claude?
- In Claude on the web, desktop or mobile, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Reach. Paste https://reach.locus-intelligence.com/api/mcp as the URL. Leave Advanced settings empty and click Add.
- Click Connect next to Reach and sign in with your Reach account.
- In a chat, click +, open Connectors and turn Reach on.
You need no API key and no Google Cloud project. Connect your Google profile inside Reach first. Until you do, Claude can read only your public listing, not your reviews, performance or rankings. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector under Organization settings and each member then clicks Connect (Anthropic's guide).
The server address is also on the Reach setup page for Claude.

claude mcp add --transport http reach https://reach.locus-intelligence.com/api/mcpHow do you get the most out of Claude?
- Keep your shop's facts in a Claude Project. Put your opening hours, services, tone of voice and words you never use in the project instructions. Every chat then starts from the same facts, so replies sound like you.
- Paste the source material. A festival timetable, a price list or a menu pasted into the chat lets Claude compare it with what your profile says today and list the differences.
- Use the ready-made skills if you use Claude Code. Reach publishes six: reply to reviews, optimize the profile, write a post, weekly report, local rank audit and competitor watch. The Claude Code page shows how to install them.
A paid plan is not required. Claude lets you add one custom connector on the Free plan, whereas ChatGPT needs a paid plan for the same step.
What do owners ask Claude? Six prompts
Each prompt uses a different part of Reach. Replace the bracketed text with your own.
Compare this week with last week for my Google profile: views, calls, direction requests and website clicks. Then check my tracked rankings and tell me the one thing worth doing before Friday.
Who ranks above me for "dentist near me", and what do their profiles have that mine doesn't? Use my tracked keyword and the local grid.
List my reviews with no reply, oldest first. Draft each one in the language it was written in, two sentences at most, and promise no refunds or discounts. Show me all the drafts before posting any.
Turn this into a Google offer post and schedule it for Friday at 9 am, timezone Asia/Kolkata: [paste the offer]. Show me the final text first.
Here is our festival timetable: [paste it]. Compare it with the special hours on my Google profile and propose each change one at a time, with before and after.
Check what is missing from my Google profile and walk me through the fixes, one change at a time.
Prompts 1 and 2 only read data. Prompts 3 to 6 change something public, so Claude shows you the result for approval first.
What happens before Claude changes anything?
- Claude asks to use the tool. Anthropic lets you control which tools Claude may run. Keep the tools that write to Google switched off while you are only reading data.
- Reach shows the change. A profile edit appears as before and after. A review reply or post appears word for word.
- You say yes to that exact text. A yes covers one change. A reply or post is public once published, and Reach has no tool to delete a post or remove a reply. Replying again replaces the old reply.
Reach also checks your plan. If something isn't included, Claude tells you which plan allows it and stops. Reading data costs nothing. A set of reply drafts costs 2 credits, and the Free plan includes 50 credits a month.
What does a Sunday evening with Claude look like?
Priya, a salon owner in Kochi
Priya opens Claude and sends prompt 1. Claude answers from her Reach data: how views, calls and direction requests moved against the week before, and that her "hair salon near me" rank slipped at two of the nine grid points.
She sends prompt 3. Three reviews have no reply, and one is in Malayalam. Claude drafts each in the language of the review. In one draft Priya deletes a line that offers a free blow-dry, because she didn't want to promise it. She approves the three replies one by one, and Claude reads the profile back to confirm they are live. The drafts cost 6 credits.
The review reply guide and the reply examples help with tone. The ChatGPT article covers the same jobs for ChatGPT users, with a different set of prompts.
How do you disconnect Claude?
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and remove Reach. In Reach, Settings, then AI Connectors lists every assistant that has used your account, and you can block one or all of them from the next request. Disconnecting stops future access. It doesn't undo a reply or post already published.
Connect Claude to the right business
With Reach
The AI Connectors screen in Reach shows the server address and every assistant that has access. Start with a read-only question such as prompt 1, then approve public changes one at a time.
