To connect Gemini to your Google Business Profile, open gemini.google.com with the personal Google account that manages it. Ask about your business or type @Google Business Profile, then accept the connection. It works only if you're 18 or older, Keep Activity is on, you manage exactly one verified profile and you're outside the EEA and UK.
What do I need before Gemini can connect?
As of October 2026, Google's help page lists six requirements. If you miss one, the connect option doesn't appear.
| Requirement | What it means in practice | How to check |
|---|---|---|
| Personal Google account | What it means in practiceWork and school accounts are not allowed. That includes a Google Workspace address on your own domain. | How to checkThe account email ends in gmail.com, or it's a personal account you created |
| Age 18 or over | What it means in practiceThe account's birth date must show 18 or over | How to checkGoogle Account, Personal info |
| Keep Activity on | What it means in practiceGemini must save your Gemini Apps activity | How to checkGemini, Settings, Activity |
| Exactly one verified profile | What it means in practiceYou own or manage one verified Business Profile and no others | How to checkGoogle Business Profile Manager shows one verified profile |
| Same account as the profile | What it means in practiceThe account you use in Gemini is listed as an owner or manager of the profile | How to checkBusiness Profile, People and access |
| Region | What it means in practiceIt isn't available in the European Economic Area or the UK | How to checkWhere you use your account |
Most owners get stuck on the one-profile rule. Google says the feature is "not available to owners or managers who have access to more than one verified Business Profile." The rule also covers manager access. Suppose a clinic owner is also a manager on a sister branch, or a friend added them to a shop profile years ago. That owner is blocked, even for their main profile.

How do I connect it, step by step?
- Go to gemini.google.com and check the account shown in the top corner. It must be the personal account that manages your profile.
- Ask a question about your business, such as "How did my business do this month?" You can also type @Google Business Profile in your prompt.
- When Gemini offers to connect the Business Profile app, select that option and follow the screens.
- Give Gemini a first task, such as "Which reviews have no reply yet?"
- To disconnect later, open Connected Apps in Gemini settings and turn off the Business Profile app.
What can Gemini change on my profile?
Google's help page lists these tasks:
- Update hours, contact info and action links, such as booking or order links.
- Draft and manage replies to customer reviews.
- Create, schedule and publish posts.
- Summarize what customers say in reviews.
- Show performance metrics and the search keywords people used to find you.
- Manage food menus, photos and attributes.
Your business name, address and primary category aren't on that list. Changes to those fields are the ones most likely to trigger re-verification. Make those changes in the Business Profile itself.
On 10 June 2026, Google also announced business Notebooks in the Gemini app. A Notebook keeps your profile and website data in one place and suggests next steps.
Why is Gemini not connecting to my Business Profile?
Check the requirements in order. These are the common causes, starting with the most likely:
- You manage more than one verified profile. This includes profiles where you're only a manager. Under People and access, remove yourself from profiles you no longer need. You can also create a separate personal account that manages only your main profile.
- You're signed in to a work account. A Google Workspace account for a clinic or company doesn't qualify. Switch to a personal account that's an owner or manager.
- Keep Activity is off. Turn it on in Gemini's activity settings.
- The profile isn't verified yet. Verify your profile first.
- You're in the EEA or UK. Google hasn't launched the feature there.
Some news coverage says Google later added support for more than one profile through the @Google Business Profile tag. As of October 2026, Google's help page still says one profile, so treat multi-location support as unconfirmed.
Which languages does Gemini support for Business Profile?
Google lists 12 languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish. Here's what that means for owners in India and Southeast Asia:
| Market | Local language supported? |
|---|---|
| India | Hindi yes; Tamil, Bengali, Marathi and others no |
| Indonesia | Indonesian yes |
| Thailand | Thai no (English only) |
| Vietnam | Vietnamese no (English only) |
| Malaysia | Malay no (English only) |
| Philippines | Tagalog no (English only) |
An owner in Bangkok or Ho Chi Minh City can use the feature only in English.
Example: a salon owner in Jakarta with two branches
This example is illustrative. Rina runs two branches of Salon Melati, one in Kemang and one in Kelapa Gading. Both are verified under her Gmail account. She types @Google Business Profile in Gemini, but no connect option appears. The second branch causes this, because Google allows exactly one verified profile per account.
She has two options:
- She creates a new personal Gmail account and adds it as a manager of the Kemang profile only. Once the invite is accepted, she connects Gemini from that account. Kelapa Gading stays outside Gemini.
- She manages both branches in a tool that supports more than one location.
Rina picks the first option for Kemang and writes her prompts in Indonesian. She keeps managing Kelapa Gading in her usual tool.
FAQ

- Yes. Hindi and Indonesian are two of the 12 supported languages. Thai, Vietnamese and Malay aren't supported.

When Gemini's rules leave you out
You might run more than one branch, work in Thai, Vietnamese, Malay, Tagalog, Tamil or Bengali, or sign in with a work account. In each case, Reach by Locus handles the same weekly chores for every location on your plan:
- Reviews drafts replies in the review's language for you to approve.
- Posts schedules your updates.
- Presence edits hours, photos and attributes.
Reach also connects to ChatGPT and Claude through its MCP server. Reach doesn't run inside Gemini, and Gemini isn't a supported Reach client today.
Two branches or a language Gemini skips? Run both profiles from Reach, in your language.
