How to make a free appointment booking website from your Google profile
A booking website needs three things before a customer can use it: the hours you are open, how long one visit lasts, and a place where requests arrive. Your Google Business Profile already holds the first. The tool above reads it and shows the page Reach would put live.
- Type your business name as it appears on Google Maps and choose it from the suggestions.
- Reach reads the listing's hours once and splits each open day into 30-minute visits, the starting length for every new booking page.
- Look over the phone preview. The booking card, the row of days and the times are exactly what a customer will tap.
- Press Take bookings with Reach, sign up for free and link your Google profile. The appointments screen opens on this business with one switch to go live.
Going live takes no design work. The same page also carries your address, map, phone button and the services you list, so it doubles as the business's website.
What customers see on the booking page
A customer who arrives from Google, an Instagram bio or a WhatsApp message lands on one page: your name and category up top and the booking card close by. The card works in four parts.
- A row of the coming days. Days you are closed stay in the row, crossed out, so nobody wonders whether a day was skipped.
- The open times for the chosen day, written in the business's own time zone, so a customer in another city knows whose clock the time is on.
- A short form. Name and phone number are required and email is optional. There is no payment step.
- When no time suits the customer, or every time is taken, the card turns into an enquiry form with a message box.
Services you list show on the page as information. A booking is for a time, not for a service: every visit has the same length, chosen from 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
How to add a booking link to your Google Business Profile
Google gives a business two ways to take bookings from its profile, and they behave differently.
The first is your own link. Open the profile on Google Search or Maps, choose Booking, select Add link, paste the booking page address and save. Google's help page on local business links lists booking as one of the link types, allows up to 10 links per type and lets you mark one as "Business preferred".
The second is a scheduling company that works with Reserve with Google. You sign up with it from the Bookings section of the profile, and Google's page on setting up bookings through a provider says the provider shows on the profile within a week and may charge you for bookings. Which companies you can choose depends on your country (Google's partner list).
One difference matters if you want to know whether the button works. The same provider bookings page states that performance data is not available for custom links. With your own link, the count of bookings has to come from the booking page itself, and Reach lists every booking and enquiry the page receives.
With your Google profile connected, Reach can put the booking page on the profile as its appointment link for you. It shows the link Google has now next to the one that replaces it, and changes nothing until you accept. Your website link stays as it is.
Markup on a website is a separate question. Google's local business structured data guide reads your name, address, phone and opening hours. schema.org also defines Service for what you offer and ReserveAction, which it describes as reserving a concrete object such as a table or a hotel room. Google's guide uses neither, so the profile link above is what puts booking on Google.
Appointment scheduling for salons, clinics and tutors
Every booking page starts with 30-minute visits over the hours on your Google profile. Three common trades show how to tune it after sign-up.
Salons and barbers. A haircut and a colour take very different time, so set the length to the service most people book. The page takes one booking per time, so a salon with several chairs uses it as the diary for one chair, usually the one that most needs filling.
Clinics. Doctors often keep a morning and an evening session. Split hours carry over, so a day open 10:00 – 13:00 and 17:00 – 20:00 offers both blocks and nothing in between. Mark leave and conference days as closed dates and customers cannot pick them.
Tutors and coaches. A 60-minute length fits most lessons. Hours set for after school, such as 16:00 – 20:00 on weekdays, give four lessons a day without any other setup.
Festival closures belong in two places. On Google, set special hours so Maps shows the change (How to set special hours). In Reach, mark the same dates closed on the availability screen so the booking page stops offering them.
Times always follow the business's own time zone, which Reach takes from the connected Google location. A customer booking from abroad sees that zone next to the times.
If you already live in Google Calendar, its appointment schedule also makes a booking page. It works from your calendar's availability rather than your Business Profile hours, sets a 4-hour minimum lead time by default, and some of its features need a paid Google Workspace or Google One plan.
What the tool reads and what it keeps
Showing the preview takes one read of the Google listing. Nothing about the business is stored after you leave this page.
Pressing Take bookings with Reach carries only the Google place you chose into sign-up. Bookings made later belong to your account: customers' names, numbers and messages stay in your Reach account.

Example: how a salon's hours become bookable times
An invented salon with these Google hours, and the times its booking page would offer at a 45-minute visit length.
| Day | Google hours | Times offered |
|---|---|---|
| Tuesday to Saturday | 11:00 – 20:00 | 12 visits a day, the last starting at 19:15 |
| Sunday | 11:00 – 15:00 | 5 visits, the last starting at 14:00 |
| Monday | Closed | Shown crossed out |
At 30 minutes the same weekday gives 18 visits. Choose the length from the work, not from the count: a day full of short visits that overrun leaves the next customer waiting.
Questions
- Is this appointment booking website really free?
- Yes. The booking page, the bookings and the leads inbox are all on Reach's Free plan. Free pages show a small Reach credit in the footer, which any paid plan takes off, along with letting you pick the page's address.
- How do I add a booking link to my Google Business Profile?
- Open your profile on Google Search or Maps, choose Booking, select Add link, paste the booking page address and save. With your profile connected to Reach, Reach can set the link for you once you accept the change.
- Can customers book an appointment from Google Maps?
- Yes, once your profile has a booking link or a Reserve with Google provider. The link shows on the profile under Booking and opens your booking page.
- Do customers need to pay or sign up to book?
- No. They choose a time and give a name and phone number. Email is optional and is used only to send their confirmation.
- Can two customers book the same time?
- No. The first booking takes the time off the page. If two people send the same time together, the second is asked to choose another.
- Does the booking page send appointment reminders?
- Each confirmation email carries a calendar invite with reminders set one day and one hour before, so the reminder comes from the customer's own calendar app. There are no SMS or WhatsApp reminders.
- Is there a free booking system for salons and clinics in India?
- Reach's Free plan includes the booking page, made for owner-run businesses such as salons, clinics, tutors and repair shops. The page can be shown in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and other languages, and its times follow the business's own time zone.
