To use AI for your restaurant's Google profile, connect Reach by Locus to ChatGPT or Claude once. The assistant can then read your reviews and hours, publish a festival special, and draft replies to complaints about waits or delivery. Six restaurant prompts are below, plus what it cannot do to your menu.
How do I connect ChatGPT or Claude to my restaurant's profile?
Connect from the Google account that owns the profile. Set up ChatGPT or Claude once; Reach signs you in with OAuth, so there is no API key and no Google Cloud project. Reading your profile is free. Each reply draft costs 2 credits, and the Free plan includes 50 a month, enough for 25 drafts.
Can the assistant change my menu on Google?
Not the dishes. Google takes menu items, prices and dish photos only through its own menu editor, and says changes can take 24 to 48 hours to show (Google help). Edit those in Google, then use the chat for the parts around them.

Which prompts work for a restaurant?
Fill the square brackets with facts you have checked. Every prompt asks the assistant to show its work first.
Festival special: "Write an Offer post for our Diwali thali, [price], from [start date] to [end date], dine-in only, not combinable with other offers. Add an Order online button to [link]. Show me the post before publishing."
Wait-time reviews: "Find 1 to 3 star reviews from the last 60 days that mention waiting, slow service or cold food. Draft a reply to each that apologises once, says what changed: [change], and gives [phone or WhatsApp]. Do not offer refunds or blame staff."
Delivery reviews: "Find reviews about late, cold or wrong delivery orders. Reply that we are sorry, ask them to message [number] with the order time, and do not name any delivery app."
Menu-change post: "We changed the menu on [date]. Write an Update post naming these three new dishes [names, veg or non-veg, price], with a Learn more button to [menu page], and check that the Menu link on my profile points to the same page."
Festival week hours: "Set special hours for [dates]: open 12 pm to 11 pm. Show old and new hours first. Then write a short Update post saying last orders are 15 minutes before closing."
Review themes: "Read my last 30 days of reviews. Count how many mention waiting, delivery, taste and price, give one short quote for each, and list which of them still have no reply."
Which Google facts matter for a restaurant?
Google may transcribe a menu from your website, and customers can add dish names and photos. Dish names you add yourself take precedence over customer names, so keep the website menu current and the menu link pointing at it (menu guide).
A post that includes a phone number Google cannot verify as yours is rejected; use the Call now button instead (post rules). Special hours cover festival days, and Google's suggested holiday dates miss some, so check the holiday hours guide.
In the Reach restaurant benchmark of 11 cities, top-three restaurants carried a median 582 photos against 536 at ranks 4 to 20, and 59% listed a website against 47%. Photos and a working website link are the cheap parts of the gap.
What does a reply to a late-delivery review look like?
Illustrative case: a biryani place gets "Order arrived 70 minutes late and cold. Won't order again." The owner runs the delivery prompt. The assistant shows:
We are sorry your biryani arrived late and cold. That is not the standard we want to deliver. Please message us on [number] with the time of your order and we will look into it directly.
The reply names no delivery partner, promises no refund and gives the customer one direct route. If you do decide to refund, add that line yourself in the chat before approving.

With Reach
Reach by Locus lists every Google review that still has no reply, drafts an answer in your voice and posts it when you confirm. The same account publishes your festival and menu-change posts from the Posts screen, so the chat and the dashboard show one history.
