How to reply to a 3-star review
The common mistake with a 3-star review is replying only to the praise. Readers notice the complaint that was left unanswered.
- Thank them for the part they liked, and name it.
- Name the part that disappointed them and apologise for it once.
- Say in one sentence what you will look into.
- Close with an invitation that fits the review, not a general “hope to see you again”.

Clean room, noisy night
Room was clean and the staff helpful, but the AC was loud all night and we barely slept.
Thank you for mentioning the clean room and the helpful staff. We're sorry the AC kept you up; a noisy night undoes a lot of good. We'll have that unit checked. When you next stay, mention it at check-in and we'll give you a quieter room.
A Hinglish review: good doctor, slow billing
Doctor ne achhe se dekha, koi complaint nahi. Bas billing mein bahut time lag gaya, ye thoda zyada tha.
Aapka bahut shukriya ki aapne doctor ke baare mein itna achha likha. Billing mein itna time lagna sach mein zyada hai, iske liye sorry. Hum billing counter ka process dekh rahe hain. Agli baar aapka experience aur smooth rahe, iski poori koshish karenge.
